Update: My Nails!

Hey everyone,

So I wanted to do a quick update for those of you who have be interested in my progress with keeping my nails strong, resilient, healthy...and most importantly long. My nails are doing well, in fact. I don't use my Jordana Nails Be Strong everyday but I use it at least four times a week...with a little time, patience, and of course the will to remember to use the the product, here are my 'results':

Nails Be Strong Update

Ummm...I promise I didn't forget about updating you all about the progress of growing out my nails! Honestly my nails started to grow back after I started using the Jordana Nails Be Strong Strengthener, but then I started to get a little lazy and stopped applying it everyday. I applied it more like once a week, or when I remembered. That was a No No! My nails became soft and weak and chipped off like it was nothing. So about 4-5 weeks ago, I started using it again and this time I've been more faithful and it paid off, here are the results (sorry, they're not polished):

As you can see, my nails are ALMOST (not quite yet) as dope as they were in my original Nail Tek Post. So overall, The Jordana Nail Strengthener does work but it is NOT as potent as Nail Tek. With Nail Tek I could afford to not apply a coat as regularly but with the Jordana product you must apply at least every other day if not everyday - otherwise, your nails will revert back to their formerly 'tender' state.

So is Jordana Nails Be Strong Strengthener a good idea to purchase? Yes, if you are disciplined and have a great memory to apply regularly. For $1.50, it's def worth it. But if you are forgetful  and a bit lazy like me, you may want to check out Nail Tek II: Intensive Therapy. For circa $10-$12, it works miracles!!!

Get Your Sparkle On: New Year's Eve Nails

I don't think I mentioned this before but I have had a hidden love affair with sequins, glitter, and everything sparkle for about a year now. It provides the perfect way to make your look super Bold in both loud and subtle ways. One way is through nail art. I am not a professional when it comes to nails (or anything else that I mention or spotlight on this blog) but I do appreciate a beautiful set of well manicured hands. This New Year's Eve, I want to manifest my love for sparkle via my nails. Here are a few photos I found for inspiration:

Remember my long, durable nails?

Hey Ladies,

So one of my earliest posts was on the wonders Nail Tek was doing for my nails. I still stand by the product; however, I found that with daily use, I ended up buying a new bottle every month or so. As a new grad who is very much still in student money management mode, I stopped buying it and paid the price! Lets just say my nails don't look like this anymore:

Far from it! A few weeks ago I ran into a much cheaper alternative by Jordana and had to stalk up while I could - I bought 4 bottles at $1.50 a piece. You cannot beat that! I just started using it this week so I'll make sure to keep you updated on whether or not it works and how it compares to Nail Tek.
